What are Functional Skills?
These are qualifications which have been developed in response to the employability needs set out in the Government’s 14-19 Education and Skills White Paper. They offer learners the chance to gain useful, transferrable skills. The qualifications will also be constituent elements of all Apprenticeship Frameworks.

Did you know – if you apply for one Functional Skill qualification you’ll get approval for them all? All you need to do to apply is complete an Additional Product Approval Form for existing centres or if you are a new to NCFE, complete the Become an NCFE Approved Centre.
