Performance Measures / GCSE Equivalence

The link below provides information on the performance measure figures given to our qualifications. The performance indicator figures shown for each qualification represent the 2 headline measures of school performance.

The contribution to threshold figure tells you how each qualification can contribute to the 5 GCSE A*-C indicator. As the 5 GCSE threshold is 100%, if a qualification indicates '20% to the Level 1 threshold' then it is equivalent to one GCSE at Level 1.

The points figure tells you how many points each qualification can contribute to the average point score for each learner. The points and contribution to the threshold depend on the size and level of the qualification. Points are assigned to full qualifications only. Individual units can't be used towards the performance measures.

The figures are only allocated to qualifications on the Qualifications and Credit Framework and the National Qualifications Framework approved for learners in the pre-16 and 16-18 age groups.
