NCFE, in partnership with the Nationwide Community Learning Partnership (NCLP), is pleased to offer two awards which are aimed at supporting parents and parents-to-be.
The two awards, Young Mums to Be and Effective Parenting, offer the chance to study practical modules as well as offering help and advice on important parenting issues.
Young Mums to Be (Customised Award)
Young Mums To Be (YMTB) is a unique course for pregnant teenagers which offers young mothers, along with qualified trainers and health professionals, the chance to be involved with the development of the YMTB programme.
The young women involved with the programme are often more vulnerable, often single and frequently from challenging backgrounds. YMTB offers a wide range of support, skills and education to improve life styles, develop citizenship skills, gain confidence, continue education or enter the work place.
Effective Parenting qualifications (National Partnership Awards)
These awards, delivered in partnership with the Nationwide Community Learning Partnership, are available to study at three levels:
NCFE Entry Level 3 Certificate in Developing Skills in Effective Parenting
NCFE Level 1 Certificate in Developing Skills in Effective Parenting
NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Developing Skills in Effective Parenting
They are designed to enable new parents to acquire practical parenting skills to help with the different developmental needs and aspects of behaviour in their children.
These qualifications have been designed specifically with parents, partners, and step parents in mind.
The material covered in the awards is relevant to the lifestyles of today and reflects the challenges parents face in today's world.
