NCFE has partnered with Working Knowledge to offer a range of work experience solutions, from Employer Aware; large scale business challenge events, to Employer Experience; live briefs and workplace visits, to Employer Ready; Hidden jobs workshops and mock interviews – all designed to engage employers and offer solutions and evidence to support programmes of study, built around your cohort of learners.
Working Knowledge is a Social Enterprise providing colleges nationally with proven work experience activities for the Study Programmes of learners at all levels.
Working Knowledge are employer engagement specialists with an approach that successfully ‘opens the eyes’ of businesses to the talent available in local colleges and how this might benefit their business.
More than 2,500 businesses have volunteered to support activities over the last 8 years including companies big and small from a huge variety of sectors. Companies include: Airbus, Apple, Babcock, Barclays, Boots, EE, Google, L’Oreal and MITIE.
Working Knowledge offer colleges a choice of three curriculum-led services that are aligned to Study Programmes and deliver meaningful work experience activities with the support of local employers. Working Knowledge collates evidence of the impact of activities on individual learners to form part of their portfolios.
On average, 15% of students who participate in a Working Knowledge activity have been offered further employer opportunities from the employers involved.
