NCFE’s new partnership with Youth Sport Trust
At NCFE, we provide nationally recognised qualifications and awards to thousands of learners at all levels and we’re committed to helping learners to fulfil their personal goals.
As part of this commitment, we are delighted to announce that we’ve partnered with Youth Sport Trust to help further promote and advance learning for young people in the health and fitness and sport sectors.
The Youth Sport Trust are a national children’s charity who are working to ensure every child enjoys the life-changing benefits that come from play and sport, with nearly 25 years expertise in pioneering new ways of using sport to improve children’s wellbeing and give them a brighter future.
The new partnership will allow key stage 4 learners on the NCFE Level 1/2 Technical Award in Health and Fitness qualification the opportunity to also receive a Youth Sport Award Bronze. This will add further value to their skills and knowledge gained and support them as they enter the sector.
The Youth Sport Award support 10-24 year olds to build positive lifestyle habits and demonstrate the impact their involvement in sport has had on their personal development, including leadership skills, health and wellbeing and wider life skills.
Both NCFE and Youth Sport Trust recognise the significance of our services to support young people as they advance their careers. Lucy Thompson, Product Manager at NCFE, said “working alongside Youth Sport Trust aligns with our objectives to support young people and help them access the best opportunities in life. We’re delighted to be able to make this option available to Health and Fitness learners.”
Upon completion of the NCFE Level 1/2 Technical Award in Health and Fitness, schools will be able to evidence the achievement of the Youth Sport Award Bronze at the same time, making it easy for schools to maximise the learning opportunities they can offer their students whilst minimising the administrative workload.
“The Youth Sport Award helps young people to evidence their learning, progress and achievement in and through sport and physical activity. Supporting learners to demonstrate the impact on their personal development, including leadership skills, health and wellbeing and wider life skills. Through our partnership with NCFE, we can offer this award as a dual certification, increasing the reward the receive for their commitment” says Lynne Pilbeam, Youth Sport Award Development Manager, Youth Sport Trust
This is a unique opportunity to combine core curriculum teaching that counts towards headline performance measures, with a reward and celebration scheme that helps to improve physical and emotional wellbeing.
We’ll release further details on the partnership and how your learners can access the awards to our customers in our newsletter or if you wish to be updated about this partnership, you can email [email protected].
