SFA Advanced Learner Loans for 2016-17

At NCFE, we can help you maximise your funding and use your full advanced learner loan allocation through our portfolio of eligible qualifications. We now have 55 qualifications approved within the catalogue across a range of popular industry areas, from customer service to childcare, from business to creative craft.

What’s more, from 1 August 2016, Advanced Learner Loans became available for individuals aged 19 and above to undertake designated qualifications at Levels 3, 4, 5 and 6, meaning you have even more choice for delivery.

Additional funding

Learners who need help with costs while studying, e.g. childcare, travel or trips related to the course etc. may also be eligible for money from the Advanced Learner Loan Bursary Fund. Eligible learners can apply to their college or training provider directly for the Bursary Fund once the letter confirming the Advanced Learner Loan has been received by the learner.  

Resources

The Government has introduced a package of measures to support both learners and providers with Advanced Learner Loans, and is providing a £50m bursary fund to support vulnerable learners with additional costs related to learning.

Support is available from the Education and Skills Funding Agency, the National Careers Service, the Gov.UK website and Student Finance England.

Centres should check the latest version of the Funding Rules for further information about Advanced Learner Loans in the current and future funding years.’

19+ Adult Education Budget

NCFE has a number of vocationally-related qualifications that are now fundable under the Single Adult Education Budget. Some of our Health, Public Services & Care qualifications and Business Administration & Law qualifications are also supported with great resources from our partners.

NCFE has a large number of qualifications which are eligible for funding for adult learners and meet the skills needs of industry.
