Level 3 Early Years criteria review

The Department for Education (DfE) have commissioned NCFE to review the Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification (EYE).

As a basis of this review, DfE wants to hear from all stakeholders in the early years sector to inform and shape the qualification criteria to ensure it is fit for purpose for future generations of children. NCFE have developed two surveys to capture the views of different groups representing the early years sector. Stakeholders will also be invited to take part in in-depth feedback sessions including interviews and focus groups.

Who do we want to hear from?

What do we want to know?

DfE wants to hear your thoughts and opinions about current Level 3 Early Years qualifications: what elements in the current criteria represent good quality, what elements you think are missing from the offer and what you think could make the qualification better for future generations of children. Your views will really help direct how qualifications are shaped going forward.

Why take part?

This is an opportunity for DfE to hear from you, your experiences, and the challenges you face. The results will be published, and the findings will be used to shape Early Years qualifications and develop policies to support the sector.
