QualHub changes – how to find the information you need

In 2021, we rebranded NCFE to better reflect our role as an educational charity and leader in vocational and technical learning. As part of this change, we brought together all the qualifications, resources and specialist knowledge from the various brands within NCFE in order to offer our customers the best delivery and assessment options, all in one place.   

We've now released the final phase of these changes and have moved all qualifications, resources, supporting materials and information, documents and forms from QualHub to the NCFE website. This includes our External Assessment Timetable, policies, the replacement certificates forms, the access arrangement request form and much more. 

Please use the FAQs below to help you find the information you need. 

How do I search for a qualification? 

Use the search icon at the top of every page and select 'Qualifications' from the drop-down menu. Alternatively, navigate to https://www.ncfe.org.uk/qualifications/ and search for qualifications using keywords or any of the filtering options such as sector, level, or features. The qualification search features a new filter for funding, so you can easily identify which products attract funding, and from which funding stream. 

How do I search for, purchase and download resources?

When viewing a qualification, simply use the tabs across the width of the page to more easily access support, assessment and teaching materials, and to quickly and easily add them to your basket, purchase, or download them if you have already purchased them.

You'll notice a much-improved basket experience for both free and paid for resources, enabling you to get what you need faster.

We have also introduced the option for users who don't have a Portal login to download and purchase resources. You can do so by creating an account with NCFE or continuing as a guest. If you choose to continue as a guest, you won't be able to access resources you've previously downloaded at a later date. 

How do I apply for approval?

We've simplified approvals process based on your feedback. It now features fewer steps, less to fill in, and the ability to save your progress at every step of the way, ensuring you can be approved to work with us faster than ever before.

From a qualification page, you can begin the approvals process in just 2 clicks, simply click the 'Deliver this qualification' button. 

This will add the qualification to your basket. You can continue shopping and add more qualifications, or begin the approval process by clicking the 'Apply for approval' button from your basket. 

Don't worry if you get distracted and want to read a blog or make a cup of tea – you can get back to your basket at any time from the basket icon at the top of every page. 

We've streamlined the approval form itself, stripping out non essential fields and making it easier for you to add the various contacts required for approval. Best of all, you can save using the Save button and complete your approval request at any time. After saving your approval, you can use the approvals dashboard to resume your approval. You can find the link via the Login page, linked from the top of each page. 

How do I find information relating to delivery and learner support? 

Delivery and learner support had outgrown the breadth of information that was housed on our QualHub pages. We’ve broken this up into clear and easily understood sections called Onboarding, Delivery support, Assessment support and External quality assurance. Everything you need will be in one of those sections.  

To get to them, simply navigate to https://www.ncfe.org.uk/ then go to ‘Qualifications’ and choose the most relevant menu item from there. 

How do I find information relating to Functional Skills? 

Our Functional Skills information now lives in the ‘Delivery support’ section, including updates, sample assessments, information on events and training and much more. To find it, simply navigate to https://www.ncfe.org.uk, then ‘Qualifications’, then ‘Delivery support’, then ‘Functional Skills’.  

How do I find the policies and documents I need? 

The most accessed policies and documents – such as the Centre Agreement, the Access Arrangements and Reasonable Adjustments Policy, the Appeals Policy, the Special Consideration Policy, and our Fees and Pricing documents – now live on the Mandatory policies and fees page. To find it, simply navigate to https://www.ncfe.org.uk, then ‘Qualifications’, then ‘Mandatory policies and fees’. 

Where do I find assessment regulations? 

Assessment regulations and everything else related to assessment, lives in the ‘Assessment support’ section. To find them, simply navigate to https://www.ncfe.org.uk, then ‘Qualifications’, then ‘Assessment support’.   

Where do I find the forms I need?  

Forms are now housed in relevant areas, rather than being housed all together. This should make it easier and more intuitive for you to find them.  

The Replacement certificate form for centres can be found in Assessment support > Exams administration > Certificates > Replacement certificates for centres.

The Remote invigilation centre approval form can be found in Assessment support > Remote invigilation > Remote invigilation centre approval form.

The Incorrect grade submission form can be found in Assessment support > Assessment results and queries > Incorrect grade submission notification form.

The Notification of access arrangement and reasonable adjustments form can be found in Assessment support > Access arrangements, reasonable adjustments and paper modifications.  

The Late paper modification request form can be found in Assessment support > Access arrangements, reasonable adjustments and paper modifications > Late paper modification request form.

Where do I find fees and pricing information? 

Navigate to https://www.ncfe.org.uk, then ‘Qualifications’, then ‘Mandatory policies and fees’.
