Supporting Teaching and Learning Apprenticeships

Our Level 2 and 3 qualifications are named in the Supporting Teaching and Learning Apprenticeship Frameworks meaning that learners have the option to learn on the job as well as in the classroom.

Government reforms to the apprenticeship system have led to the development of the Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Standard. When this standard is ready for delivery our Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning maps directly to The knowledge, skills and behaviour requirements of the Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Standard. While only the Diploma fully maps to the Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Standard, the Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualifications at the Award and Certificate sizes also provide quality and rigour to the learning of an apprentice planning on working in a more senior support role, or who will be working without supervision in education settings.

We have created a mapping document to demonstrate how the qualifications map to the Apprenticeship Standard.
