Ready, set, go!

So how do you get started with the NCFE V Certs?

We understand you’re busy and need a simple and straightforward process for getting started with V Certs. That’s why you can start running them in just 7 simple steps!

  1.  Choose which V Cert(s) you’d like to deliver and gain approval on the NCFE website.

  2. Register and enter your learners on the NCFE Portal in one easy step and start to deliver the qualification(s) (duration can vary depending on Guided Learning Hours). You’ll now be allocated an External Quality Assurer who will visit you when a date is arranged.

  3. Submit your internal unit grades on the NCFE Portal as soon as possible after the completion of a unit and organise the date for your first visit directly with your External Quality Assurer

  4. Your first external quality assurance visit will then take place to monitor processes, sample learner’s work and check the occupational competence of Assessors and Internal Quality Assurers

  5. Your unit grades are then banked or rejected following your external quality assurance visit

  6. A second external quality assurance visit will take place to sample remaining learner’s work and unit grades will be banked or rejected

  7. You can now claim certificates when your learners have banked grades for all the units and a result for the external assessment. Certificates will be issued to you within one working day.

You should plan any external assessment into your V Cert qualification delivery. The externally assessed components must be delivered to the learners before they sit the assessment.

When registering learners on the NCFE Portal you'll now be asked to choose the assessment window you'd like your learners entered on. Resist will need to be entered in the normal way.

External assessment results are released in line with the published assessment window. These dates are available on our website.

Of course if you get stuck at any point along the way then don’t worry, our Customer Support Team are always on hand to assist you. Alternatively, you can take a look at our V Cert Centre Support Guide.

If you’d like to speak to a member of the team about any of these qualifications then please give us a call on 0191 240 8822 or email [email protected].
