Registering learners and claiming certificates
Registering learners on NCFE units and claiming certificates follows the same processes that are in place for our other qualifications.
Don’t forget to use the relevant unit reference code and /UNIT suffix when registering learners to indicate that it’s a unit that they’re being registered against.
Using credits from QCF units towards NCFE qualifications
Learners who’ve previously achieved QCF credits through completing units or qualifications may want to use this as recognition for previous learning to count towards other NCFE QCF qualifications.
If a learner wishes to transfer credit they’d need to provide evidence of the unit(s) previously achieved. This would generally occur if the same unit had been packaged into a number of qualifications, eg Employment Skills.
If you have a learner who’s completed a unit of a qualification previously you just need to record evidence of this in their portfolio and write C against that unit on the certificate claim form. Our Customer Support team will then recognise that it’s a credit transfer.
Guidance on any Credit Transfer and Exemptions for NCFE qualifications will be provided in the Qualification Specification.
