Introducing the WorldSkills UK Centre of Excellence High-Performance Skills Coaches!
Responsible for leading the work of the WorldSkills UK Centre of Excellence, Frazer Minskip, Jenna Wrathall Bailey MBE, Laura Leong and Pete Walters MBE have all been appointed as High-Performance Skills Coaches.
All experienced WorldSkills UK Training Managers in their own right, the team of High-Performance Skills Coaches have an impressive track record of training the medal-winning teams of apprentices and students who have represented the UK at the WorldSkills ‘skills Olympics’.
In the course of their work with the Centre of Excellence, the Coaches will capture learnings from international competitions and use these to coach and mentor educators who can then pass this knowledge on to their students, ensuring they perform to international high standards of excellence in their skills.
They will also help to create digital masterclasses so we can reach more educators and young people, including those in disadvantaged communities.
The WorldSkills UK Centre of Excellence, the first of its kind to be launched in the UK, will draw on WorldSkills UK’s unique insights into global skills systems and utilise NCFE’s expertise in curriculum development to mainstream excellence in skills development.
