  • Traineeships - readying the UK's future workforce

    With recent figures released by the Department for Education in November showing around 17% of 16- to 24-year-olds are not in education, employment or training (Neet) the government has proposed a traineeship programme to help boost work readiness of UK’s younger generation. The traineeship programme will work to address concerns raised by business leaders suggesting skill levels of young applicants are substandard to those required for the available roles.

    Sex education is failing students in more than a third of schools in England according to recent reports released by Ofsted.  The education standards watchdog suggested pupils where not being provided adequate educational support to help them handle complex issues surrounding sexuality, domestic violence and pornography.

  • Exams Officers: Introduction to NCFE

    Are you new to NCFE or a new Exams Officer?

    If the answer is yes then we've got the training for you. Come along to our training event on the morning of Friday 10 May in Newcastle City Centre at the Centre for Life: Life Science Centre.

     

     

  • Creative vocational qualifications in secondary education

    Are you wondering which vocational qualifications will still be offering performance points from 2013/14? Maybe you’d like to know which vocational Creative Studies subjects will be available.

    Following changes to GCSE equivalency in performance points, hear how secondary schools can continue to use vocational qualifications as a way to engage, educate and motivate pupils whilst still getting recognition in the DfE performance tables.

  • Internal Moderator Training

    Internal Moderator Training will:

    • develop existing skills in assessment and internal moderation
    • review current practices
    • formulate ideas for improvement
    • provide solutions to common problems
    • assist you to achieve and maintain DCS.
