About this qualification
The purpose of this qualification is to allow learners to demonstrate understanding of, and competency in, digital literacy skills. It will help learners progress to a work role where digital literacy skills are required.
Who is it suitable for?
This qualification is suitable for learners aged pre-16 and above.
What are the entry requirements?
There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. However, learners may find it helpful if they’ve already achieved an Entry Level qualification in ICT.
How is this qualification structured?
To be awarded the NCFE Level 1 Certificate in Digital Skills (603/3129/X), learners are required to successfully complete 4 mandatory units, and one of the 2 optional units.
How is it assessed?
Internally assessed and externally quality assured portfolio of evidence.
How long will it take to complete this qualification?
This qualification can be completed in 1 year or less depending on the learner’s knowledge and experience.
Is employment or completion of work/industry placement required for this qualification?
There is no requirement for a learner to undertake any work experience or placement to meet the requirements of this qualification.
