CACHE Social care

Specialist recognition

We’re proud of our reputation for supporting the social care sector. Thanks to our long-standing commitment, we’ve become well-known for our qualifications in this vital area. We recognise the need to make sure we’re training individuals with the knowledge and skills they need to work with some of society’s most vulnerable people, including the elderly, children, and adults with learning difficulties.

We offer over 80 qualifications available ranging from Entry Level to Level 5 and end-point assessment (EPA) of a range of care apprenticeship standards. Our social care portfolio offers the flexibility to develop programmes of learning for those who are looking for an entry point into the sector or those seeking continuing professional development (CPD).

We work and form partnerships with others in the sector to gain intelligence and insights, ensuring we always have the sector’s priorities and skills gaps front of mind. Our partners include government departments, professional bodies, regulatory bodies, public sector organisations and all types of employers.

Opportunities in social care

There were an estimated 1.79 million social care jobs in 2021-22. With changing demographics and trends, there will soon be an economic and social shift in demand for care. The number of jobs is anticipated to increase by 32% by 2035, reaching around 2.17 million. We need a workforce that’s ready to fill this demand for service, and our learning products and services create skilled practitioners who are primed to do just that.

Collaborating for success

We work closely with Skills for Care, Health Education England and the Department for Health and Social Care. This helps us to make sure our qualifications are empowering learners to fill the gaps needed for the future of social care.
