About this qualification
This qualification is designed for learners who want to gain a deeper understanding of the role of a mentor and to develop the skills needed to become an effective mentor.
What are the entry requirements?
Learners must be at least 14 years old. There are no specific prior skills/knowledge a learner must have for this qualification. However, learners may find it helpful if they have already achieved a level 1 qualification.
How is this qualification structured?
To be awarded this qualification, learners are required to successfully achieve 3 units from the mandatory units.
How is it assessed?
This qualification is internally assessed and externally quality assured via a portfolio of evidence.
How many credits are required to complete it?
Learners must achieve 6 credits from the 3 mandatory units.
How long will it take to complete this qualification?
Learners can complete this qualification in under one year.
Is employment or completion of work/industry placement required for this qualification?
Learners do not need to be working or in placement to take this qualification.
