V Cert in Interactive Media

Our Level 1/2 Technical Award in Interactive Media covers a range of skills and knowledge to help pupils feel prepared for a future in the digital media sector. Designed to allow pupils to experiment with interactive media products, materials, techniques and processes, as well as the opportunity to work to interactive media briefs to refine, develop and evaluate ideas.
V Cert Technical Awards are designed to be delivered over two years. The first year of delivery is entirely dedicated to teaching and learning, with all summative assessments taking place in the final year of study. The Interactive Media V Cert Technical Award is assessed by Non-Exam Assessment (60%) and Examined Assessment (40%).

Who this qualification is for
This qualification is designed for pupils who are interested in digital creativity and want to explore how interactive media is used in modern communication, entertainment and technology. It offers a hands-on, project-based introduction to the world of interactive media, helping learners develop the technical and creative skills needed to plan, create and present engaging digital products. Pupils will explore key areas such as the different types and features of interactive media products, how to target and engage specific audiences and the tools and technologies used in their development. This qualification is ideal for students considering further study or a career in areas such as digital media, web design, app development or interactive content creation. It supports the development of real-world creative and technical skills that are highly valued in today’s digital industries.
