Supporting you in understanding your learners' results

As part of our commitment to supporting providers with interpreting T Level results, we have pulled together a range of key materials and guidance. These resources will help you to better understand overall performance, prepare for any future assessment series, and reflect on your delivery for future cohorts.

We recommend that all providers carefully review the Chief Examiner’s Report and Chief Moderator Report relevant to their T Level(s). These reports offer detailed insight into national performance, marking patterns, areas of strength and development and guidance on how students engaged with the assessments.

Reviewing your T Level results

To support your understanding of your summer results, we strongly recommend that you download and review the Chief Examiner’s Report and Chief Moderator Report for your T Level. These contain important insights into student performance, common areas of strength and weakness, and key guidance for future delivery and any autumn retakes.

Please ensure you read both reports in full. Links to each of the relevant Technical Qualification (TQ) pages can be found below. The reports can be found under the 'Assessment Materials’ section. Please note you will need your Portal login to view the reports.

Why these reports matter

Reading the Chief Examiner’s and Chief Moderator reports will give you:

• A clearer understanding of how your students performed
• Insights into national trends and common misconceptions
• Guidance for adapting delivery or preparation for retakes
• Support in interpreting marks and performance across assessments

To complement this, we have produced a combined support report which brings together key messages from both the Examiner and Moderator reports. This is an additional tool designed to support you to better understand your student's grades, but should always be read alongside the full individual reports to ensure a complete understanding. 

Bitesize videos to help you when reviewing your results

We have also put together a series of bitesize videos to help you to further the Summer 2025 Chief Examiner and Chief Moderator Reports. Each video focuses on a specific T Level and gives a short overview of the main feedback from the core exams, employer set project and the occupational specialism.
