About this qualification
This qualification is aimed at those working at a minimum of Level 3 (unsupervised) in a variety of Playwork settings, who wish to develop new skills and progress their career to a higher level within Playwork settings.
This qualification is available to study in Welsh. Please see the Welsh translated qualification specification, which is available to download. There will also be the option to select the certificate language when claiming certificates via the NCFE Portal.
Qualification structure
To achieve this qualification, learners must achieve 75 credits in total.
They must complete the 10 mandatory units. The learner must complete the remaining 12 credits from at least 2 units in Optional Units.
What are the entry requirements?
You should be at least 19 years old and should be working at a minimum of Level 3 within a Playwork setting.
We do not set any other entry requirements but colleges or training providers may have their own guidelines.
Do you need to be working to take the qualification?
Learners will need to be already in employment.
How long does it take to complete?
You can usually complete this qualification in one year.
What qualifications can you progress to?
Foundation Degree.
