Aspiration Awards 2025: Against All Odds
Anya Clair joined City of Wolverhampton College in 2022, but her education was put on hold after a car accident left her with severe physical and cognitive injuries. However, the care she received inspired her, and Anya became determined to continue her education.

“You can’t give up because then you’re just letting yourself down. I really want to do nursing. I look at intensive care, like when I was there. I just looked at the place, and I was like, they are amazing, I would love to do this job.”

Social Impact Fund: Newbiggin Boxing Club
We created the Social Impact Fund for NCFE colleagues to support a worthy cause of their choice that promotes and advances learning.
Thanks to NCFE funding, Newbiggin Boxing Club has been able to buy new equipment and create an area for children to socialise.
