Albion Football Club learners excel with NCFE qualifications
6 February 2019
Albion in the Community, the official charity of Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club, offers a range of NCFE qualifications to help people improve their lives and develop the tools they need to meet their potential.

The qualifications offered are primarily sport and exercise based, including the Level 2 Certificate in Sport, and Level 2 Certificate in Health and Fitness. Qualifications in Employability Skills, Business Admin, IT and Functional Skills are also offered by the centre.
Many learner outcomes have been achieved through the wide range of NCFE qualifications delivered. Jack Tear, an NCFE learner, commented: “After a recent move from London, I joined the college and gained Functional Skills in maths and English, as well qualifications in Sport, Exercise Studies and Employability. Completing these NCFE qualifications has helped build my confidence by giving me the opportunity to gain work experience and develop my skills.
“The NCFE Level 2 qualification in Employability skills helped prepare me for full time employment, as part of this involved gaining work experience through volunteering. As part of my volunteering, I taught Physical Education at a local school and organised football sessions for learners, which helped me move into this industry.”
The vision of Albion in the Community is to deliver high-quality, accessible opportunities, that improve the education, health and wellbeing and aspirations of their community. NCFE helps with this by delivering qualifications which fit with the charity’s educational vision and are simple to teach and manage.
Rebecca Collins, Further Education Manager at Albion in the Community said: “The qualifications are easy to follow and the additional resources which are available from NCFE are very useful for tutors to enhance delivery.
“We would recommend NCFE to other centres as there is always someone on hand to answer any queries and our account manager is very helpful with regards to discussing new qualifications and moving forward. Various learner needs are met by the wide range of courses offered by NCFE.”
