What does this unit cover?
This unit covers the knowledge and practical skills required to provide Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA) support within the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
Any skills-based element within the unit must be assessed by a vocationally
competent Assessor in real work environments and/or by using workplace
evidence from the learner’s real work environment.
Who is this unit suitable for?
This unit is suitable for learners aged 19 and above working in the role of Deputy or Manager in an appropriate setting, or have the opportunity to carry out responsibilities associated with these roles.
