These will be available the same day results are released to students. These can be found on the qualification page on our website, under the assessment materials tab. These reports provide an overview of student performance across the assessment series and highlight key points for providers.
We’ll submit certificating students’ data to the Department for Education (DfE) through the Manage T Level Results Service.
Providers are responsible for recording the student’s industry placement completion status in Manage T Level Results Service. The DfE uses the information held in the service to calculate the student’s overall T Level grade once all required components have been completed.
We do not issue overall T Level grades to students. Once calculated, the DfE shares overall T Level results directly with UCAS.
Providers should make sure they can access the Manage T Level Results Service and check that their final-year student records are correct ahead of results day.
Full information about T Level grades can be found on the Gov.uk website.
A statement of achievement is automatically issued at the end of year two to students who do not pass all elements of their T Level, and have therefore not passed their T Level overall.
A Statement of Achievement shows the T Level components a student has completed. It can be requested where a student has not achieved all the components of their T Level or has withdrawn from the programme.
If a student withdraws before the end of year two providers can request a statement of achievement earlier via the DfE Manage T Level Results service
The provider should also inform NCFE so that the student’s registration can be updated. Providers should also mark the student as pending withdrawal in DfE Manage T Level Results service until the withdrawal has been processed.
DfE is responsible for printing and issuing T Level certificates and statements of achievement (including details on English and maths achievements) to providers for issuing to students.
Full information about T Level certification can be found on the Gov.uk website.
To receive a core component grade, a student must have attempted and received an outcome for each sub-component.
Students who have only attempted the ESP or the core exams will not yet be eligible for a core component grade.
No. Core component grades are calculated automatically by the NCFE Portal. Details can be found on a student’s result slip, using uniform mark scales (UMS) calculations available within the relevant T Level qualification specification.
No. Students will retain their highest outcome from all attempts.
For Generation 1, the core exam consists of Paper A and Paper B. Both papers must be completed as a pair in the same assessment series. Students cannot carry forward the result from one paper and then resit the other paper in a later series.
For Generation 2 Education and Early Years, there is a single core exam paper, so the Paper A and Paper B requirement does not apply. Students who need to retake the Generation 2 core exam will retake the single core exam in the relevant assessment series.
Yes. You have an option to do this on the Portal. Choose the Item Level Data (ILD) report. This report shows the task by task mark each student received. This is available in addition to requesting access to scripts. However, you should be aware that accessing scripts carries a charge, whereas the ILD report is free.
This data will help you to understand your students’ results better, allowing you to see which tasks students have performed well in, and where they’ve not scored as highly. This may help inform a decision to submit a review of marking, or it can be used for revision/future assessment preparation. It provides you with data to give you a better insight into student results, and more ownership over your students’ results.
If you have questions about student results, please view our post-results services page for information on reviews of marking or moderation, clerical checks, or access to student evidence.
Please refer to the Portal User Guide accessed from the Support section of the Portal for information and details on how to request post results services options.
