Missing and Incomplete Results Service
If you're a learner, we’re unable to discuss your results with you, please contact your centre directly for support.
Before submitting a query
If you’re a centre who was expecting to receive a result but didn’t, please first check to confirm that:
- the learner completed the assessment, and that we have reached the expected date of results release
- you have submitted all grades or marks for internal assessment, and that your EQA has completed their steps
- you understand the results slip status for exams:
- DNA indicates that the learner did not attend that assessment
- X (no result) indicates that we are unable to issue a result for the relevant component or overall, due to the learner not attending all required assessments
- Q (query) indicates that we cannot release a result for one or more component as there is an open query. This likely relates to an ongoing maladministration or malpractice investigation, for which your centre should already be aware.
- # (partial absence) indicates a learner was absent from at least one paper or sub-component that make up an overall outcome. A result can be released, but they will have received 0 marks for the that assessment.
- *** (special consideration) indicates that a Special Consideration has been applied to this assessment result
- if you require more information about learner performance within a paper, you have accessed the Item Level Data report within the NCFE Portal results screen, which shows question level performance for T Level and V Cert exams.
There are also other services available which may be more appropriate before submitting a missing or incomplete result query, such as:
Post Results Services: the Missing and Incomplete Results service is not a substitute for post results services such as Access to Scripts, or Reviews of Marking or Moderation. Visit our Results Queries webpage for more information and how to submit.
Incorrect Grade Submission: to amend incorrectly submitted grade or marks for internal assessment, visit our Incorrect Grade Submission webpage.
