About this qualification
This qualification aims to develop and enhance skills required for the working environment and improve learners’ confidence and communication skills in order to prepare them for employment or for a change in employment.
Nested qualification
This qualification is nested. Qualifications within a nested suite allow learners to be topped up to a qualification that is the same level and subject within the Award and Certificate structure. Who is it suitable for?
This qualification is suitable for learners aged pre-16 and above.
What are the entry requirements?
There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. However, learners may find it helpful if they have already achieved an entry level 3 qualification.
How is this qualification structured?
To be awarded this qualification, learners are required to achieve six credits as follows:
- two credits from Group A
- a minimum of two credits from Group B
- the remaining credits can be taken from Group B or C
Learners must complete one mandatory unit in Group A and can choose from 42 optional units in Group B and Group C. Grades are not awarded.
How is it assessed?
This qualification is internally assessed and externally quality assured by a portfolio of evidence.
How many credits are required to complete it?
Learners are required to achieve six credits as detailed in the qualification specification.
