We have redeveloped the level 1 and 2 qualifications in this subject area into a combined Level 1/2 qualification for the 2020 performance tables to ensure that it continues to meet the needs of our centres as well as meeting the new DfE guidance. The new qualification has been renamed NCFE Level 1/2 Technical Award in Art and Design. This new qualifications is approved for 2020 performance tables and is now available for teaching.
This qualification is suitable for learners aged pre-16 and above.
This qualification is designed for learners who wish to explore Art and Design concepts and materials.
There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. However, learners may find it helpful if they’ve already achieved an Entry Level qualification.
This qualification is approved in the 2017 & 2018 Key Stage 4 Performance Tables.
