About this qualification

This qualification aims to extend and further develop learners' skills and to extend learners' knowledge and understanding of the creative craft process. It will enable learners to investigate creative enterprise and employment opportunities in the creative sector and provides a basis for progression onto further study.

Who is it suitable for?

This qualification is designed for learners aged pre-16 and above who wish to develop skills and knowledge in craft.

What are the entry requirements?

There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. However, learners may find it helpful if they have already achieved a level 1 qualification.

How is this qualification structured?

To be awarded the NCFE Level 2 Certificate Creative Craft (Cake Decoration), learners are required to successfully complete 4 mandatory units.

How is it assessed?

This qualification is internally assessed and externally quality assured via a portfolio of evidence.

How many credits are required to complete it?

There is a total of 15 credits for this qualification.

How long will it take to complete this qualification?

This qualification can be completed in 1 year or less depending on the learner’s knowledge and experience.
