The purpose of this qualification is to increase learners' knowledge and understanding of common childhood illnesses to enable them to support the development and wellbeing of infants and children they support/care for.

This qualification is suitable for anyone looking to increase their knowledge of common childhood illness.
What are the entry requirements?
Learners should be at least 16 years old. We do not set any other entry requirements but centres may have their own guidelines.
How is this qualification structured?
Learners must successfully achieve all 3 mandatory units.
How is it assessed?
This qualification is internally assessed using a range of methods.
Do you need to be working to take this qualification?
This is a knowledge-only qualification, therefore, work experience is not mandatory.
