About this qualification
The primary purpose of this qualification is to support those individuals who wish to develop an understanding of basic photographic processes. The qualification will also allow learners to understand how to manipulate images. This qualification will focus on the study of photography, offer breadth and depth of study and provide opportunities to acquire a number of practical and technical skills in photography.
Who is it suitable for?
This qualification is designed for learners pre-16 and above.
What are the entry requirements?
There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. However, learners may find it helpful if they have already achieved an entry level 3 qualification.
How is this qualification structured?
To achieve the NCFE Level 1 Award in Photography, learners are required to successfully complete two mandatory units.
How is it assessed?
The qualification is internally assessed and externally quality assured using a portfolio of evidence.
