About this qualification
The primary purpose of this qualification is to provide learners with knowledge of occupations in the retail sector, customer service in the retail sector, health and safety, stock control, handling and replenishment and sales.
Who is it suitable for?
This qualification is designed for learners pre 16 and above.
What are the entry requirements?
There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. However, learners may find it helpful if they have already achieved an entry level 3 qualification.
How is this qualification structured?
To achieve the NCFE Level 1 Award in Retail Knowledge, learners must successfully demonstrate their achievement of all learning outcomes and assessment criteria of the units as detailed in this qualification specification. Grades are not awarded.
How is it assessed?
The qualification is internally assessed and externally quality assured using a portfolio of evidence.
