About this qualification

This qualification is designed to develop foundational AI knowledge and practical capability. Learners will gain knowledge, skills and understanding to support their use of AI for the workplace. It will support learners in a number of sectors and job roles where an understanding of AI may be required.

Nested qualification

This qualification is part of a nested suite, which includes the following qualifications:

• NCFE Level 2 Award in Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the Workplace (610/7671/5)
• NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the Workplace (610/7672/7)

Who is it suitable for?

Learners must be aged 14 or over.

What are the entry requirements?

There are no specific prior skills/knowledge a learner must have for these qualifications. However, learners may find it helpful if they have already achieved a level 1 digital qualification. Entry is at the discretion of the centre.

How is this qualification structured?

To be awarded this qualification, learners are required to successfully achieve 6 mandatory units.

How is it assessed?

Internally assessed and externally quality-assured portfolio of evidence.

How many credits are required to complete it?

To be awarded this qualification, learners are required to successfully achieve 13 credits from 6 mandatory units.

How long will it take to complete this qualification?

This qualification can typically be completed within 1 year.

Is employment or completion of work/industry placement required for this qualification?

Learners do not need to be working, or complete a work/industry placement, to take this qualification.

What related qualifications can you progress to?

Learners who achieve this qualification could progress to level 2 and level 3 digital/data qualifications.

Career opportunities
