About this qualification
This qualification aims to provide learners with a range of underpinning knowledge in both generic and specialist cleaning principles and meet the needs of those who work or want to work in the cleaning sector. The objective of this qualification is to help learners to develop their knowledge and understanding of the skills required for working in the cleaning sector.
Who is it suitable for?
This qualification is suitable for learners aged 16 and above.
What are the entry requirements?
Centres are responsible for ensuring that this qualification is appropriate for the age and ability of learners. They need to make sure that learners can fulfil the requirements of the learning outcomes and comply with the relevant literacy, numeracy and health and safety aspects of this qualification.
Learners registered on this qualification shouldn’t undertake another qualification at the same level with the same or a similar title, as duplication of learning may affect funding eligibility.
Registration is at the discretion of the centre, in accordance with equality legislation, and should be made on the Portal.
How is this qualification structured?
This qualification consists of 3 mandatory units and 16 optional units.
How is it assessed?
This qualification is internally assessed and externally quality assured via a portfolio of evidence.
How long will it take to complete this qualification?
This qualification can be completed in 1 year or less depending on the learner’s knowledge and experience.
