About this qualification
This qualification is designed for learners who’d like to work as cabin crew and is suitable for use within a study programme
This qualification will:
- focus on the study of an introduction to cabin crew
- offer breadth and depth of study, incorporating a key core of knowledge
- provide opportunities to acquire a number of practical and technical skills.

Who is it suitable for?
This qualification is designed for learners who would like to work as cabin crew.
What are the entry requirements?
There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. However, learners may find it helpful if they’ve already achieved a Level 1 qualification.
Registration is at the discretion of the centre, in accordance with equality legislation, and should be made on the Portal. However, learners should be aged 16 or above to undertake this qualification.
Centres are responsible for ensuring that this qualification is appropriate for the age and ability of learners. They need to make sure that learners can fulfil the requirements of the LOs and comply with the relevant literacy, numeracy and health and safety aspects of this qualification.
Learners registered on this qualification shouldn’t undertake another qualification at the same level with the same or a similar title, as duplication of learning may affect funding eligibility.
How is this qualification structured?
To be awarded the NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Introduction to Cabin Crew (600/0474/5), learners are required to successfully complete 6 mandatory units.
How is it assessed?
Internally assessed and externally quality assured via a portfolio of evidence.
How many credits are required to complete it?
This qualification requires 22 credits to complete.
How long will it take to complete this qualification?
This qualification has a total qualification time (TQT) of 220 hours and features 153 guided learning hours (GLH).
Is employment or completion of work/industry placement required for this qualification?
No.
