About this qualification

The purpose of the Level 4 Award in Programming (PHP) is to give learners the knowledge and skills to support progression into employment in a programming role, specialising in the PHP language. 

Who is it suitable for?

Those looking to progress their knowledge of programming and learn practical skills which can be used to seek work or proceed into study at level 5. 

What are the entry requirements?

There are no specific prior skills/knowledge a learner must have for this qualification. However, learners may find it helpful if they have already achieved a level 3 qualification.

How is this qualification structured?

To be awarded the Level 4 Award in Programming (PHP), learners must successfully complete 2 mandatory units.

How is it assessed?

Internally assessed and externally quality assured portfolio of evidence.
