Preparing to moderate and key dates
As we approach the assessment windows for the moderated components of the Occupational Specialisms in Health, Healthcare Science and Science T Levels, we encourage you to prepare by reviewing the guidance available on our moderation webpage.
You’ll find useful information to get started if this is the first time you’re delivering these qualifications, or you can refresh your memory under the following banners:

Health and Science – Generation 2 approvals
The approval window for the Generation 2 Health and Science T Levels will open when the Generation 2 versions have been approved by the Department for Education (DfE). Pearson will let providers know when this has been confirmed.
Please read the following message from Pearson on their approval process:
You must gain approval for each Technical Qualification you wish to deliver. You have until 28 June to apply for approval to start delivering T Levels in September 2026.

Updates to qualification materials for T Levels following annual review
Qualification specification updates
Following our annual review process, where we update the T Level qualification content to support your delivery or reflect changes in current practice, we’ll be publishing new versions of the qualification specifications for the T Levels in Health, Healthcare Science and Science in May. We’ll publish these on the qualification webpages linked below:
This qualification specification is for teaching from September 2026. The summer 2027 assessments will be based on this version of the qualification specification. The previous version of the specification will remain available to support resits for the Autumn 2026 series.
