Highlighting our learners across the globe
17 November 2021
To mark International Students’ Day, we wanted to celebrate the great international learners studying our courses, in the UK and across the globe.
Just one of our international learners is Ebi Dyan Okubowei-Eduo, a student at QUEST EYES Abu Dhabi, which was established in 2008 as our first centre in the UAE. Dyan is currently studying our Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) and chose this course due to the “quality of education” and its recognition around the world. We caught up with Dyan to find out how she found her learning experience, in her own words:
“I’ve always been interested in working within the early years sector and have built up a real passion for changing young people’s lives. Enrolling onto the Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) has given me a better understanding of early childhood development and has allowed me to gain the skills and knowledge I need to progress within the industry. With this, I’m also able to better support children’s learning and development within my setting.
“Throughout the course, my tutor has been incredibly supportive with my coursework. They’re very approachable and they inspire me to push myself, exceeding my own expectations. They’ve helped me to further my learning in the early years sector, which has given me the confidence to pursue my plan of becoming an Early Years Educator.
“I would, without a doubt, recommend this course to everyone and anyone in the early years setting! The qualification has given me a vital understanding of the sector and has allowed me to develop key skills which will allow me to progress in the future.
“This course has allowed me to become a better person and children’s advocate because I now understand how to support children’s learning at different ages and stages. Not just the children I work with, but I’m also more aware of how to support my own children’s learning and development at home.”
