This page will keep you up to date with the latest information on the T Level autumn assessment series, including information on:
- social media sharing and the risk of malpractice
- booking cut-off dates
- access arrangements and reasonable adjustments
- special considerations
- assessment variation requests
- actions required for core exams – invigilated, paper-based and online assessments
- actions required for the Employer Set Project (ESP) - pre-assessment and post-assessment reminders (including evidence upload).

An important reminder on social media sharing and risk of malpractice
At all times, please remember that live assessment materials, including project briefs and other related documents, must not be shared or discussed on social media or through messaging apps. This is to ensure fairness and to avoid advantaging or disadvantaging any students sitting these assessments.
All students and staff must understand these requirements, and be aware that all instances will be investigated as malpractice and could result in sanctions being applied. We ask that you and your delivery staff review and take note of the JCQ guidelines on malpractice and maladministration and ensure students are familiar with these expectations.
Whilst we understand social media groups can be useful for sharing best practice, please do ask your delivery and exams colleagues to approach us directly with any assessment queries to ensure they receive the most accurate information. We understand that last year there were conversations in online forums which led to confusion about specific assessment queries. We want to make sure your teams aren’t receiving misinformation from sources outside NCFE.

Last chance for assessments ahead of qualification withdrawal
This autumn is the penultimate opportunity for students to sit any core component assessments on our:
- Digital Business Services (603/6902/4) T Level
- Digital Support Services (603/6901/2) T Level
- Generation 1 Education and Early Years (603/5829/4) T Level.
Summer 2027 is the final opportunity for both the core component assessment and Occupational Specialism, so please bear this in mind for students who still need to achieve these components in order to complete their qualifications.

If you wish to sit both sub-components in the same series, this must be made on a single booking, and not on two separate bookings of exams and Employer Set Project.

Access arrangements and reasonable adjustments
Access arrangements and reasonable adjustments can reduce the impact of a disability or difficulty that will otherwise place a student at a substantial disadvantage during an assessment. Reasonable adjustments for external assessments must be put in place before the assessment and must be declared at the point of registration.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Special considerations
Special considerations are intended to support students who face an unexpected disadvantage at the time of an assessment for reasons outside of their control. Requests for special considerations can only be made after an assessment.
You must submit any Autumn 2026 Special Consideration requests by 28 January 2027. We will only accept requests submitted after this deadline in exceptional circumstances; however, this may impact our ability to release results on the advertised results release date.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Assessment variation requests
There may be times when, for known and accepted reasons, a student is not able to complete an external assessment at the date or time scheduled by NCFE. The JCQ Instructions for Conducting Examinations (ICE) contain guidance on handling timetable clashes, and windowed assessments have built-in flexibilities. However, if you know there will be a reason why one or more students will have legitimate difficulties in attending a scheduled assessment, and the built-in flexibilities will not accommodate the students’ needs, you can request a variation to a timetabled external assessment.
Requests must be submitted no later than 20 working days prior to the external assessment (set date/time) or the start of the assessment window to allow us time to review the request and approve if appropriate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Use of AI in T Level assessments
JCQ provides guidance on AI use in assessments, primarily focused on use within non-examined assessments and provider-based assessments. All providers must read and take note of this guidance.
Read the guidance.
We want to remind you that all T Level assessments must be completed independently by students who are demonstrating their own knowledge and understanding. Where AI is misused, students may be investigated for malpractice and maladministration.
In instances where students can access the internet within an assessment, use of AI must be:
- controlled
- monitored by providers
- acknowledged by students if used.
It also cannot be misused to replace a student’s own knowledge or abilities.

Results for the T Level autumn assessment series will be released to providers on Wednesday 17 March 2027, ready for students receiving them on Thursday 18 March 2027.
