About this qualification
The primary purpose of this qualification is to enable learners to develop basic skills in the use of interactive media and the underpinning knowledge of interactive media processes. It will also provide a basis for progression to other areas of study and enable learners to make more informed career choices. Learners will develop a basic understanding of health and safety relevant to interactive media and use equipment and software competently and safely.
Who is it suitable for?
This qualification is designed for learners pre-16 and above.
What are the entry requirements?
There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. However, learners may find it helpful if they have already achieved an entry level qualification.
How is this qualification structured?
To achieve the NCFE Level 1 Certificate in Interactive Media, learners are required to successfully complete 4 mandatory units. Learners may wish to complete any of the additional units to gain extra credits; however, these units will not contribute to the overall qualification.
How is it assessed?
The qualification is internally assessed and externally quality assured using a portfolio of evidence.
How many credits are required to complete it?
Minimum 13 credits

It is recommended that this qualification is delivered over 2 years.
