End-point assessment case study: Leigh Ann Elliott

Case study

Leigh Ann Elliott is NCFE’s Relationship Manager. Before she joined us, Leigh Ann worked as an Independent Training Provider for 12 years, focusing on apprentice and employer engagement as well as account management. She also “supported customers to navigate through the reforms with the levy and standards.”

Her professional experience helping customers navigate reforms made her the perfect candidate to support NCFE customers through apprenticeship reforms. “I felt it was the right time to join NCFE to support customers with the transition from frameworks to standards.” Not only did Leigh Ann have the requisite experience to help support our customers with these reforms, but she was distinctly attracted to a role at NCFE because of our position at the forefront of innovative learning solutions. “Having worked with various end-point assessment organisations in previous roles, I noticed that NCFE were ahead of the curve with the transition.”

Our social mission was also attractive to Leigh Ann: “I was also attracted to join NCFE due to them being a charity and I really support the ethos of the business.”

Leigh Ann’s own experience as an apprentice informs her passion for the work she does today: “I really love apprenticeships, especially as I started my career as an apprentice when I left school at 16.” She’s enjoyed witnessing how the respect for apprenticeships has developed throughout her career: “It's fantastic to see how apprenticeships have evolved, especially now as they are seen as an alternative to full time education and higher education.”

Every day, Leigh Ann brings her passion for her role to advance the mission of the end-point assessment team and deliver a great experience for our customers and learners:

“I love working in the relationship team as we work with some really fantastic customers, and I genuinely do feel we have the apprentice at the heart of everything we do. It’s great to work in a team where we can be the customers voice and support with developing our offer.”
