This unit provides the knowledge and skills required to support the development of socially aware behaviour with children and young people in residential childcare settings.
Assessment guidance
This unit needs to be assessed in line with the Skills for Care & Development Assessment Principles. Learning outcomes 2, 3, 4 and 5 must be assessed in a real work environment and simulation is not permitted.
