News for all T Level providers

July 2026

[Updated 07/07/2026]

Welcome to our T Level provider communications area. Please see key updates and information about delivering our T Level qualifications below

Summer assessment series – looking ahead to results in August

All summer assessments are now complete and marking and moderation are well underway.

All evidence should now be uploaded, but we still might have to raise queries with your exams teams. Please ensure that your teams are ready to resolve any queries as quickly as possible so that all students can receive a result where expected.

Our Special Consideration deadline has passed, and from now we will only accept requests in exceptional circumstances. Late requests may impact our ability to release results on the advertised results release date.
We’ll release T Level results from our summer 2026 series to you on Wednesday 12 August, ahead of your students receiving them on Thursday 13 August.

Results, including results slips and reports, will be available in the Portal. Chief Examiner and Chief Moderator reports and past papers and mark schemes will be available on the relevant qualification pages on our website, and you can view information on where to find your Final Moderation Report and Chief Moderator Reports in the results and support section of our moderation webpage.

If you have queries about student results following results release, please review our post results services webpage for information on reviews of marking or moderation, clerical checks, or access to student assessment evidence.

Some key points to note are:

  • Any post result requests require the consent of your students and therefore, you can’t submit any requests before 13 August 2026.
  • If you need an expedited review of marking or moderation, you need to submit this no later than close of business, Thursday 20 August.
  • Before you can submit an appeal against a result you will need to exhaust all post-results services in full

Please note that the results available in the Portal relate to the technical qualification only and include the combined core and occupational specialism results. Once all T Level components have been combined including industry placement hours, students’ complete T Level results, including their overall T Level outcome, will be available through the Department for Education’s Manage T Level Results service. The Department for Education is also responsible for issuing T Level certificates. For more information about overall T Level results and certification, please see the Department for Education’s results and certification pages along with our results FAQs.

Remember to keep details of your senior designated contacts up to date

If any of your senior designated contacts have changed since you submitted the form during our term-time checkpoint earlier this year, you must update your details here.

Release of Key Dates Schedule – 2026/27 and 2027/28

We’ve now published our T Level Key Dates Schedule (KDS) for 2026/27 and 2027/28, along with a comprehensive supporting document outlining the process for constructing the KDS. Thank you for your feedback throughout the consultation process.

In response to your feedback, we have:

  • Moved advanced assessment materials to a dedicated area of our website. This area is designed to let you know which materials will made available and when, and give you clarity on who can access them.
  • Amended the results release dates for T Levels to align with equivalent Level 3 options. This is following the publication of the GCE Level 3 results release date for summer 2027. The revised restricted result release to providers is now 11 August 2027.
  • Amended the deadline for requests for a review of marking/moderation to 16 September 2027.
  • Aligned booking cut-off dates to a standard 10 working days prior to the first assessment date within the relevant series, to ensure consistency across our qualifications. The assessments which are impacted by this are the:
  • T Level Technical Qualification in Education and Early Years (603/5829/4) -core series
  • T Level Technical Qualification in Digital Support Services (603/6901/2) -Digital Infrastructure and Network Cabling occupational specialisms and
  • The T Level Technical Qualification in Science 603/6989/9 - core series
  • Amended the times of the T Level Technical Qualification in Science Core A assessments from 14 June 2027 at 9am to 11 June 2027 at 1pm, and the Core B assessment from 18 June 2027 at 9am to 18 June 2027 at 1pm. This is following a review of the JCQ common timetable for 2026/27, as we identified that there would be clashes with high volume GCSE/CGE qualifications.

Other changes to note

We’ve updated the final assessment opportunity dates for some of our qualifications, following the Department for Education’s decision to change the expected delivery duration of T Level qualifications from a maximum of four years to three years. This affects the T Levels in Education and Early Years (603/5829/4), Digital Support Services (603/6901/2), and Digital Business Services (603/6902/4).

Therefore, the final assessment opportunity for these qualifications is now summer 2027, rather than summer 2028, as previously published.

And, following further guidance from the Department for Education, we’ve removed dates for two occupational specialisms (Dental, in T Level Technical Qualification in Health, and Metrology, T Level Technical Qualification in Science) where we have no live student registrations.

Download the T Level Key Dates Schedule (KDS) for 2026/27 and 2027/28

Please note that the Key Dates Schedule is a controlled document and is subject to regular updates and revisions. You should ensure that you’re only accessing the latest version via our website, rather than downloading and saving a copy.

Any locally saved copies will become outdated and could lead to discrepancies in key dates and associated activities. We can’t accept responsibility for any issues, delays, or errors arising from the use of outdated or locally stored versions of the Key Dates Schedule.
