As the leading provider of care qualifications, NCFE is delighted to be launching a new Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate.
Coming June 2024, this qualification is being developed as part of the Department of Health and Social Care’s (DHSC) drive to raise standards and professional outcomes within the care workforce.
This initiative will see up to £53.91m of funding being made available by DHSC to support 37,000 individuals in direct adult social care roles to complete the new qualification between June 2024 and March 2025.

These qualifications have been selected as they:
- compliment the Level 2 Adult Care Certificate and align to units within the qualification
- build on knowledge to provide additional progression and CPD opportunities
- are eligible for funding under the Adult Social Care Training and Development Fund
- enable you to develop programmes that better equip individuals to achieve and make a difference to the lives of those they care for.

Award Bundle Options
There are 6 qualification bundles to choose from allowing you to target learning to the specific needs of your learners. If preferred, you can choose to deliver the Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate without taking up our offer of an additional free qualification.
This qualification aims to develop the knowledge and skills required when providing positive care for people with dementia and their families. The Level 2 Award provides an awareness of the causes and symptoms of dementia. This qualification is aligned to the National Dementia Strategy
This professional development qualification provides essential knowledge and skills to anyone wanting to actively support individuals with learning disabilities. Units include: the meaning of learning disability, support, legislation, communication and planning.
This qualification provides the opportunity to develop an understanding of different perspectives of death and dying, and the impact it has on individuals. It covers the aims and principles of end of life care, communication factors and how to access a range of support services in end of life care.
Certificate Bundle Options
This qualification aims to raise awareness of mental health and a range of mental health conditions.
This qualification aims to increase understanding of the principles of healthy eating and the role of food in maintaining health
This qualification aims to develop learners’ understanding of autism and the principles of supporting individuals with autism - covering the person-centred approach and influence of positive communication methods, how to support positive behaviour, and how individuals with autism can be supported to live healthy and fulfilled lives.
