Background

The educational landscape is changing, and from 2025-2026, Level 3 academic and technical qualifications must meet new criteria and all others will have funding approval withdrawn. New and existing Level 3 qualifications, not including T Levels, will need to be redeveloped and approved for funding by the Department for Education (DfE), Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE) and Ofqual, or they’ll no longer attract public funding. Get involved

If anyone in your network is an employer in the areas above and would like to have their say on the future of qualifications in their sector, we’d love to hear from them. We have a number of paid opportunities available, and these can be flexible to suit their availability. This would involve validating qualification materials for new or redeveloped qualifications in their sector.

If someone in your network would like to know more about this or get involved, please ask them to complete this expression of interest form, and a member of the Practitioner Engagement team will be in touch with more information.
